This course is designed to give the student an enriching, comprehensive and relevant instrumental music education. This class provides many performance opportunities for the student in a variety of settings. The daily objective of the course is to foster and promote an appreciation and love for instrumental music as a performer and an active listener. As a member of the band program, group effort and cooperation are necessary to create a successful program. Band is a skilled effort in which each student is expected to show technical and musical growth throughout this course.

BEGINNER BAND (Junior High and High School) There is a $25 per semester class fee. No Audition Required. Every student is required to have the following materials:
The method book entitled Standard of Excellence: Book 1 for your student's instrument
1 inch SOLID BLACK binder
About 15 page protectors
Wind Players need the added Microphone
A Good Attitude
Students who have less than one year experience on an instrument will take a beginner class which will teach all the necessary fundamentals of maintaining and playing their instrument.
Concert Dates: Fall Concert: Tuesday, October 1 at 7pm Winter Concert: Thursday, December 12 at 7pm Spring Concert: Monday, February 24 at 7pm Final Concert: Thursday, May 11 at 6-9:30pm (more info to come)
Required Attire for Concerts:
Boys top: Red, White, or Blue polo
Girls top: Red, White, or Blue polo
Black Dress Pants or skirts (skirts must be past the knee when seated)
